 I had the great privilege of watching this movie. I think this may be another great movie field trip for our class. These are the perks of teaching at a Christian school, I guess. The story of Jesus is portrayed wonderfully for children in this story. It is a great tool to share the Gospel with anyone. I love how they included John in the story as well. This is a must see for families.

His Only Son is the story of Abraham and Isaac brought to life. The biblical account doesn't delve into the feelings of Abraham, Sarah, or Isaac. The director, however, added many human emotions that could have been felt through the whole ordeal leading up to the sacrifice on Mount Moriah. 

ABOUT THE MOVIE

His Only Son recounts one of the most controversial moments in the Old Testament—when Abraham was commanded by God to sacrifice his son Isaac on the mountain of Moriah. While traveling to the place of the sacrifice, alongside Isaac and two servants, Abraham is flooded with vivid memories from the years he and Sarah spent longing for the son they were promised—the son he must now lay upon the altar.

The film begins with God waking Abraham from his sleep and was told where to go and whom to sacrifice. He told Sarah and she was not thrilled about this perilous journey. The roads were dangerous for travel. The director created events they may have encountered in those times.

This movie did have me researching Isaac's age at the time of this event. I always thought of Isaac being a young boy of 5 or 6 years old. Research showed me that he is depicted correctly here. He would've been older than I've always thought he was.

What a super inspiring movie! I am so glad that I was able to see this film. I am not a golf fan so I was not sure of my feelings about my enjoyment level in the beginning. That quickly changed as the story unfolded. This is much more than a golf story. It is a great story and such a simple way to share the Gospel with others. We serve a God of second chances. There are many times we all need a Mulligan.

 I am not much of a football fan, but my husband is. I knew he would enjoy this movie because he has been a long-time lover of all things football. This film did not disappoint. Kurt Warner's story is very inspiring and heartwarming. He knew what he wanted to do, and even after several disappointments, he pressed on and achieved his goals. Faith takes you far! I think this movie would be great for the whole family if you are Christmas Day moviegoers.

God's Not Dead: We The People *Review*

 Today is the day!!!

This movie is only in theaters from October 4th - October 6th.

I almost wish this was a little bit longer! It is so relevant to the craziness going on in our country right now and where it is headed.

I enjoyed this movie so much! Hopefully, it can be an encouragement to homeschool families, or any families who live in states that are attacking parental rights in regards to their child's education and government control. We the people have rights! This movie features a fellow homeschooling mom and Christian singer, Francesca Battistelli. She is currently fighting for the right to continue educating her children at home. Several members of the God's Not Dead cast are returning in this film as well.

The God’s Not Dead franchise continues in God’s Not Dead: We the People as Reverend Dave (White) is called to defend a group of Christian homeschooling families.  He finds himself taken aback by the interference of the government, and believing that their right to educate their own children is a freedom worth fighting for, Reverend Dave is called to Washington DC to testify in a landmark congressional hearing that will determine the future of religious freedom in our country for years to come.

This was such a "pull at the heart strings" movie. When the sisters were having their little tiffs, it reminded me of my own sister's relationship and that of my daughters. In my younger life, we did that drive to the grandparents' house when my parents got divorced. Different circumstances than this story, but it brought back so many memories and feelings.

My husband and I had the pleasure of watching Church People. I must admit, I did not know where they were going with the storyline. It was very funny and by the end of it, I had tears in my eyes. What a powerful ending that brought everything back into focus.

I recently had the pleasure of watching an episode of Cubekins.

I thought it was super cute! I don't have toddlers or little ones anymore, but this would have been great to watch with them. I love that there was prayer throughout the episode. If they had any questions about what to do, mom and dad took it to God.
