Lightlife Smart Dogs Review

Lightlife® Smart Dogs® offer up all the juicy flavor you love. Fire up the grill, top with your favorite condiments, and enjoy the ultimate summertime favorite.
Ingredients:
Water, soy protein isolate, soybean oil, evaporated cane syrup, pea protein isolate, tapioca starch, salt, potassium chloride, bakers yeast extract, carrageenan, dried garlic, natural flavor (from plant sources), natural smoke flavor, xanthan gum, fermented rice flour, guar gum, oleoresin paprika (color).
Contains: Soy

We are not yet a vegetarian family, but we are slowly moving in that direction. This time we ate them with chili and cheese. It's nice to know there are some other options out there when it comes to hot dogs. My kids love hot dogs, but they are not so good for your innards. I was surprised I got a thumbs up from everyone who tried the Smart Dogs. They don't taste like hot dogs, but they are still tasty.

We had a hard time finding the Smart Patties and Tempeh, so I'll add my thoughts about those later. I still need to check our local Natural Grocers store.

Looking at the Lightlife website I noticed they have many plant protein options. I'm very excited about trying those with my family. They also have some recipes to try out.

All Things Bright + Giveaway

How does she know this from memory? It was actually a class assignment from her 2nd grade teacher. They memorized a portion of this beautiful song/hymn by Cecil Frances Alexander.

Oh, the thrills when this book came in the mail! My daughter was ready to fill in the missing lines that they did not memorize.

This story is so beautifully illustrated by Katy Hudson. Very soft imagery that flows along with the words. The children are just so into their surroundings. They're just checking out all the wonderful things God created for us to look at and explore.

About the Book
First published by Cecil Frances Alexander in 1848, this favorite hymn has become a mainstay of churches and Sunday school classes everywhere. Here artist Katy Hudson brings new joy to the words with her fresh and bright watercolor style. Readers can join in the fun as they follow two little girls and their brother on a day filled with the discovery of “all things bright and beautiful.”

About the Artist
Katy Hudson was raised in Middlesbrough, England, and started her career as a small child drawing on freshly painted walls. Her parents quickly encouraged drawing with pencil and paper instead. The idea stuck, and after earning a degree in illustration, Katy is now a freelance illustrator. Katy works at a desk in a studio within Old London Library and likes to tap dance in her spare time.

Protein and Hydration

Some of you may already know this, but we live in the desert. Dry, hot, and constantly thirsty! We had the opportunity to check out E-Hydrate products, and I was very impressed. There was actually something my kids could add to their water with 0 SUGAR. AND THEY LIKED IT!!!!

Kids E-Hydrate was a hit with them. It gave their water a refreshing flavor ....they said it tasted like that particular flavor of soda, but soda it is not!!!

This was all I had left after the kids (and myself) raided the box!

Pay no attention to that middle child's face. She loved that cinnamon roll flavor! She hadn't even tasted it yet in this pic. She was still shaking the drink. She's a character!

It's not just for the kids ya know. They have products for us grown folks too! To all my friends who live at the gym...check these products out. There's a lot of you Cross-fit junkies who could probably benefit from these too. They have Natural Protein-on-the-Go drinks and so much more for you guys and gals! Check out their website for specifics on ingredients and nutrition info.

I personally liked the Chocolate one. You just have to make sure you shake it up really well.

While you're browsing their site make sure to keep up with them via social media.

Santa Cruz Agua Fresca

The family is finally back from all of our summer travels! Before we left we received a wonderful package in the mail. Deliciousness right here!!! It was gone before we left.

We are familiar with Santa Cruz Organic because we love their organic lemonade, which pairs nicely with my Young Living lavender essential oil. Have you had lavender lemonade before? I highly recommend it! I'm so glad we had the opportunity to try some new drinks by this company.

Santa Cruz goes all the way back to 1972! I had no idea...I thought they were fairly new because I only started noticing their products a few years ago. That could be because that is when we switched to partaking of more organic options around then. They offer a wide range of products also. It's not just juice, people!

The Agua Fresca line is what we got to enjoy. Mango Passionfruit and Pomegranate were the flavors we tried, and let me tell you.....well, you probably already know what I'm going to say. I'll just say this, GO GET SOME!

About Agua Fresca
Made by blending organic fruit juice and fruit juice concentrate, sugar, a splash of lemon juice, and other ingredients, these delightfully distinctive drinks are reminiscent of the Agua Frescas that have long been popular throughout Central America and the Caribbean. Now, Santa Cruz Organic® makes it easy for you to enjoy an Agua Fresca at home—the perfect way to Keep on Cruzin' through your day!

We aren't big juice drinkers here, so when my hubby finished the pomegranate drink and went to the store hunting for more, I knew we found a keeper for our fridge. They really are fresh tasting!

The kids also had an opportunity to try the applesauce pouches.

They enjoyed them very much.

Check your local grocery store or natural food store for
